Brexit Means Brexit

Brexit means Brexit,
We’re leaving the EU,
But don’t need any detail
If it’s red and white and blue.

We’ll rule the waves, Britannia,
Let’s launch our ship of state,
Though first we ought to plot a course,
We’re all at sea? Too late!

Brexit means Brexit,
We’re in disarray,
Our leaders think it means to make
A mess and run away.

Xenophobic posters
Designed to instil fear,
Healthcare funding pledges
Which somehow disappear.

Brexit means Brexit,
And it seems absurd
To base our country’s future on
A made-up, nonsense word.

The White House has turned orange,
Let’s scamper overseas
To hold hands with a bully
And embrace misogyny.

Brexit means Brexit,
The gist of which is clear
To everyone who is concerned:
We’ve really no idea.

MPs vote to trigger,
Clause Fifty will invoke,
Before debating any plan
Or if we can revoke.

Brexit means Brexit,
We’re off to pastures new,
There are twenty-seven ready
And one without a clue.
